publishing made easy
The Boilerhouse Collective is the literary hub for aspiring editors, publishers, poets or writers. We hold weekly workshops for select members to present their writing to the group, with the option to receive impartial, friendly feedback. This is a chance to improve your confidence and hone your skills, and is particularly beneficial for those with aims of publication or editorial work. We encourage all members to at some point submit their work, but if you are not there yet you are still welcome to join our sessions.
We take your work and source small presses and publishers that accept submissions in similar genres or styles, with the intent of getting your writing in physical or virtual print.
We provide invaluable opportunities to hear readings and participate in Q&A sessions with successful writers. We are also working to organise group visits to professional workshops and masterclasses, either online or in person. This will be free for all premium members. During term time, we hold open mics once a month. Sign up to be added to our mailing list for newsletters with updates on upcoming writer's events, talks and competitions.
Currently all events aside from peer-led workshops will take place during term time only, but dependent on interest we may carry certain events throughout the break.
The Boilerhouse Collective is currently available for all to join, but it is worth nothing that it is tailored specifically for students who want to get their work into the public domain. Membership is free for Royal Holloway students only. If you do not attend Royal Holloway, our membership packages for next year are available to buy in the store below. If you are interested in joining the Collective or submitting your writing, please contact us via email or send us a message on Facebook.
To be kept in the loop with some of the events we offer, follow our Twitter and Facebook (links at the top and bottom of page).
